Missions Organization Issues 30-Day Global Prayer Challenge

Missions Organization Issues 30-Day Global Prayer Challenge

MEDIA ADVISORY, June 30 /Christian Newswire/ -- One missionary-sending agency is challenging Christians to embark on a global adventure -- a 30-day prayer tour around the world.

World Gospel Mission (WGM) invites believers to join The Concert of Prayer: Encore. The Concert of Prayer is a 30-day challenge where participants join other believers in daily prayer for specific countries and opportunities where WGM missionaries are serving.

The September/October issue of WGM's magazine, The Call, will lead readers on a 30-day prayer tour around the world. During the 30-day challenge, from September 14-October 14, WGM invites readers to join other believers at 12:00 pm (EST) each day via a conference call to pray for the country designated on that day.

"Last fall, we led our champions in this Concert of Prayer, through our magazine," said Tim Rickel, Vice President of Development. "That issue was so popular and affected so many that we decided to hold an 'encore!'"

"We can't wait to see what God is going to do through these days of unified, concentrated prayer for our world," said Rickel. "If you want to be a part of this event, sign up now!"

To be part of the Concert of Prayer: Encore, sign up for your free subscription to The Call at www.wgm.org/call. The Concert of Prayer: Encore can also be followed on www.wgm.org, with audio files of the daily prayers, special podcast episodes, and more.

Formerly known as The Call to Prayer, The Call is a bimonthly magazine and has been in publication since 1919. WGM is offering a free subscription to anyone wishing to live a mission-active life.
